The legacy of traditional Chinese music is steeped with a rich history going back thousands of years. Chinese wind and percussion are one of the major components of Chinese music and are performed with wide varieties of unique Chinese instruments. It is bold, unconstrained, ardent and elegant.
DJ Wind Chinese Music Academy was founded by the bay area well known Dizi performer, educator, and conductor Mr. Ding Jian. The Academy focuses on the education of traditional Chinese wind and percussion music and helps students to acquire multiple artistic skills, develop students' abilities, spark interest and enjoyment in music, and provide all students an opportunity to perform on stage. The Academy will teach percussion, wind, and string.
With one flat tuition fee, each student can select up to three classes (percussion, win and/or string for example). Students are guaranteed an opportunity to perform on the stage, and can accumulate community service hours if qualified.
